Myself never tried it with other ships or been on a team that even tried it any tier

Ive seen this up the middle work twice both times midway through the game,I look and there was 2 Cruisers a BB exiting the gap, not sure why know one noticed maybe a DD laid smoke, anyway ive also seen this numerous times were they exit the gap only to get focus fired no not really we lost in terrible fashion.

The only thing worse than having 3 ships rush in early on 2 brothers and sink are TK divisions, just had a 3 DD division (2xGearing, Fletcher) yesterday start shooting and torping ckily they were sunk somewhat early but they "forced" 2 other teammates to turn pink thus taking 5 total ships out and damaging several others. but in my experience it is incredibly rare that it does. The other side affect is having someone just sit there at the channel mouth "waiting" for the enemy for 10 minutes, even after our CV had spotted the middle and ignoring chat asking him to join the fight. nobody was coming down the middle. Some of the only times I've seen any positive result were just a mild distraction to the enemy causing them to retreat from the flanks, but you need strong players on the flanks who can see that happening and push which can be another rarity. Everything from the entire enemy team going middle being picked off 2 by 2 until gone, to the 1-3 that go middle and maybe sink 1 enemy before they all sink. 99% fail miserably, that's not an exaggeration. Preferably 1, in my opinion, is enough to bait or draw in ships into positions not favorable to them or tied done several ships on the enemy team to wait at the entrance, thus removing them from the main battles while mitigating risk to the overall team. At most this should be attempted by 1 to 3 ships max. I believe its true value is to bait ships to.ġ) either wait for you at the exit to kill you, thus taking them away from the main battle.Ģ) to draw them into the straight to deal with you.Įxample of this working, I sailed my ARP Myoko into the straight in reverse and kill two dds with my torps.Įxample of this not working, I sailed my mogami into the straight backwards and no one on the enemy team cared to deal with me, thus making me irrelevant.ĭisclaimer: Since posting this, I've realized I should have been clearer, I'm not advocating the majority of the team to attempt a rush. Its not to go all the way to the enemy cap, or to surprise the enemy team with a sneak attack. I feel people under-estimate the value of the early rush down the straights on Two Brothers.
